About New Delhi

Delhi is one of the oldest cities in the world and gateway to its rich cultural heritage. Situated on the banks of the river Yamuna, Delhi represents India itself - a country of human diversity, steeped in history. Comprising of two contrasting yet harmonious parts, the Old Delhi and New Delhi, it is also the seat of the power of one of the fastest growing economies of the world. Delhi is the hub for the prosperous agricultural hinterland and progressive industrial belt of North India.

Delhi is a city where ancient monuments rub shoulders with tall skyscrapers. A city with some of the best infrastructure in the region backed by a steadily growing modern public transport system, rivalling the best in the world. Its museums showcase the growth of Indian Civilization, while some of the country's biggest business houses base their head quarters in the city.

Delhi is also famous for its cuisine with its restaurants featuring not only the best of Indian culinary palette, but also from across the world. Shoppers can go through its plethora of bazaars, ranging from the Mughal era Chandni Chowk to the swanky 21st century glass and steel malls.

Delhi is easily reachable from all parts of the world as Delhi International Airport has flights from all major countries in the world. Among the major International Airlines, we have Air India, Kingfisher, British Airways, Gulf Air, Singapore Airlines, Jet Airways, etc. Getting from the airport to the conference

The conference registration includes a free pick up from the airport to any hotel within New Delhi on the 14th and 15th of December. To avail this service please send an email to registrations@antsconference.org with your full name, organization name and registration details (confirmation number) and arrival details (flight number, date). A chauffeur will pick you outside the airport just after you clear customs. Look for your name on a white placard.

Currency

Local currency is rupees (INR). All major credit cards (Visa, MC, Ammex) are accepted by vendors. Gratuity is not typically included in a check. Tips typically do not exceed 10% of the total amount.
